Hey, is that a campfire? It is! Now all I need is a couple of graham crackers, a chocolate bar, and some marshmallows to toast. Cracker, marshmallows, a chocolate bar, cracker. That’s a s’more.

Best we can tell, the s’more dates back to the 1920s, when it was created by the Campfire Girls. Or the Girl Scouts. There’s actually a National S’mores Day, which falls on August 10th. I’ll tell you one thing, they’re a lot cheaper than Girl Scout cookies these days.With fewer kids enjoying scouting these days, it could be that fewer people know this delicious treat. Now that would be a shame.
